Happy Nannah

I’m beyond happy! I have all 6 grand babies and enjoying every diaper change, messy spills, screams, laughter, fights and the few seconds my daughters and I get to enjoy a cup of coffee together!  When all is said and done, moments like these are what life is all about.   ~ I love my amazing crazy life~

Life’s Lessons

Sometimes we must be hurt in order to grow.  Sometimes we must fail in order to know.  Sometimes we must lose in order to gain.  Because some lessons in life are best learned through pain.  ~unknown~

This is so true!  Life is so full of lessons to be learned and they can either help us or hurt us depending on how we respond to them.  I am so thankful for the lessons learned in my life for I feel they have made me a better person.  This might be a simple way of putting it, but I need simple.  When giving my children their lessons in school its up to them how they respond and how much effort they put into their work.  It’s interesing to see who’s all in and who is not quite as enthusiastic about learning.  I truly believe God allows us to go through things in life so that we might help and encourage someone that may go through the very thing we came through. No matter how hard the lessons in life, I know God is in control and knows just what we need. I guess we can all ask ourselves the question, what type of student are we?  Enthusiastic,  wanting to learn and grow from even the most difficult and hard lessons in life or, that one who only cares about getting by not ever knowing the real joy of allowing God to help us through those tough times and knowing in the end it has made us a stronger and much better person.

My little blessings

As I was feeding my sweet Davis this morning I thought about the memories, the bonding and all the fun things that go along with being a Nannah and it came to me that I really don’t have those memories as a child.  I realized this morning that I hope I am to my six little grands everything that I wish I had the memories of.  I’m going to visit the five that live a couple hours away and have a special bag packed just for them as I always do. First and foremost the fruit snacks! I always get the largest box I can find! Ben, (who will always be Baby Ben to me) asked his mother, “do you think Nannah will bring fruit snacks?” A tradition I better never forget!  I love my little blessings and thank God for them! “Happy birthday” to our sweet Bonnie! She is 2 today! Nannah loves you and has your gift packed for the trip! Can’t wait to snuggle all 5 tomorrow!
